Meet the Small Dog Jazz Society, a Brooklyn-based band with a passion
for classic American jazz and swing, specializing in music of the early
1900's by the likes of Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, and many
other legendary greats.
Founded in 2021 when New York City's music venues were closed, we took a
cue from the time-honored New Orleans tradition of playing in the
streets and moved our music outdoors! We honed our craft playing
hundreds of hours in city parks, always with several small dogs at our side.
These days we specialize in private parties, swing dancing events and
weddings. The Small Dog Jazz Society is a joyful, high energy group that
brings a ton of fun to any engagement. We can be hired with male or
female lead vocals, in configurations ranging from a trio to our full
sextet depending on your budget and your needs. Drop us a line. We’d
